I'm a big fan of Cooks Illustrated and found out about these towels from a show. They are the best I've ever used. My only complaint is that the color looked very different in person than on the website (sprout green was really lime green) if you like to match your towels to your kitchen as I do.

Stores don't carry hunter green kitchen towels for some reason, so I was more than happy to take a chance on buying these towels online.

They are a little larger than my other kitchen towels, but not very hefty or thick. So I think the total weight is about the same as my other towels.

The color is good. I washed/soaked right away and they did bleed. I rinsed them in vinegar to hopefully help the color stay on the fibers. Not sure if that works.

As was reported by another reviewer, one of the four towels (I bought two sets) had part of a seam unravel in the first wash. It was about three inches of one side. Nothing I can't hand sew to repair, but it will lose about 1/2 an inch when I turn a new seam.

Have used these 2 towels for a week and washed them once so far. Came out of the wash very well, no unravelling or odd shrinking. I like the large 20"x30" size. I prefer to hold the item I am drying with both hands on the towel itself. These towels make that possible so that you are not putting fingerprints right back on your clean stuff. Towels are extremely soft. My only slight critique is that they are so plain looking. Wish they were made in some combination of colors or stipes, like Williams-Sonoma towels for instance. But I still recommend them. I also purchased 4 of the white ripple dishcloth and have the same overall comments with these.
